Update that asset location
The precise geolocation of any asset can be assigned by using a physical address, or by using the geolocation of a mobile device (using the device's GPS technology) in combination with the Maintainly mobile app.
To update asset geolocation via the mobile app:
Navigate to Assets in the left side menu;
Locate and click the asset for which the location is to be updated;
Click the Location;
Click Update location (nb. you must permit the Maintainly app to use your location);
Either enter the exact address in the location field, or manipulate the map to locate the pin at the exact asset location;
Click Update location to save.
To update asset geolocation via the web app:
Navigate to Assets in the left side menu;
Locate and click the asset for which the location is to be updated;
Click the Location tab;
Click Update location;
Either enter the exact address in the location field or manipulate the map to locate the pin at the exact asset location;
Click Save.
Filtering tasks using geolocation
The tasks list view can be filtered to just those assets within a particular geographical area, as selected on a map view.
To filter tasks using the mobile app:
Navigate to Tasks in the left side menu;
In the quick filters, click the location pin;
Manipulate the map to a particular geographical area and click Show tasks in this area;
OR
Click a specific asset and click View X current tasks.
To filter tasks using the web app:
Navigate to Tasks in the left side menu;
Click the location pin located to the right of the filter;
Manipulate the map to a particular geographical area and click Confirm;
OR
Click a specific asset and click View X current tasks;
