Know exactly where your moveable assets are located by updating their equipment geolocation.

Update that asset location

The precise geolocation of any asset can be assigned by using a physical address, or by using the geolocation of a mobile device (using the device's GPS technology) in combination with the Maintainly mobile app.

To update asset geolocation via the mobile app:

  1. Navigate to Assets in the left side menu;

  2. Locate and click the asset for which the location is to be updated;

  3. Click the Location;

  4. Click Update location (nb. you must permit the Maintainly app to use your location);

  5. Either enter the exact address in the location field, or manipulate the map to locate the pin at the exact asset location;

  6. Click Update location to save.

To update asset geolocation via the web app:

  1. Navigate to Assets in the left side menu;

  2. Locate and click the asset for which the location is to be updated;

  3. Click the Location tab;

  4. Click Update location;

  5. Either enter the exact address in the location field or manipulate the map to locate the pin at the exact asset location;

  6. Click Save.


Filtering tasks using geolocation

The tasks list view can be filtered to just those assets within a particular geographical area, as selected on a map view.

To filter tasks using the mobile app:

  1. Navigate to Tasks in the left side menu;

  2. In the quick filters, click the location pin;

  3. Manipulate the map to a particular geographical area and click Show tasks in this area;

    OR

  4. Click a specific asset and click View X current tasks.

To filter tasks using the web app:

  1. Navigate to Tasks in the left side menu;

  2. Click the location pin located to the right of the filter;

  3. Manipulate the map to a particular geographical area and click Confirm;

    OR

  4. Click a specific asset and click View X current tasks;
