Regardless of whether a task is a reactive one or a preventative maintenance task generated by an automation on an asset (using one of task templates), all tasks can be given a planned start date and time. This is when you anticipate, or plan, the work associated with that task to actually be performed.

Time-based preventative maintenance can therefore have two dates; the due date (this can't be changed once the task is auto-generated by an automation) as well as a planned date.
