Every task in Maintainly can be given a planned date & (optionally) a planned time.

To assign a planned date & time to one or more tasks:

  1. Navigate to Tasks;

  2. Filter the list, as appropriate, using the advanced filter to a list that includes the tasks that are to be planned (eg. a particular site, or another advanced filtering variable that helps isolate a particular subset of tasks, like ones that have the same work type)

  3. Check the box next to one or more tasks that are to be planned;

  4. Click Planned start date;

  5. Nominate the Planned start date of when work will commence. If a single task was selected, a planned task time can also (optionally) be nominated.

  6. Click Confirm.

    TIP: Planned start date & time can be updated within each individual task via the three-dot menu.

Use the planned start date & time

The planned start & time are best utilised by viewing the task list in the agenda view.

To switch to the task agenda view:

  1. Navigate to Tasks;

  2. Use the advanced filter (located to the right of the filter) to switch to the agenda view by navigating to Sort by > Planned Start.

  3. For individual users, isolate the list to just those tasks that involve you by navigating to and selecting Show > My Tasks.

  4. It's usually best to continue to add additional filters, such as selecting a site, for a more localised view of what tasks have been planned.
